Partaking in the competitions are young athletes from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova.
The tournament is held every year to popularize freestyle wrestling as sport among young people, strengthen and expand friendly relations between athletes of CIS and non-CIS countries. Its regular participants are students of sports schools from the border regions of Russia and Ukraine.
The international youth freestyle wrestling tournament Golden Lynx is one of the numerous events due to take place in the southeastern region of the country to mark the Day of Unity of the People of Belarus and Russia.
