The St. Petersburg theater hopes that the Minsk tour will be the beginning of the long cooperation with the Belarusian Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and the balletomanes in Belarus will be able to see more productions of the great choreographer Leonid Yakobson.
The unique auteur ballet theater was founded 42 years ago. It was named after Leonid Yakobson, an outstanding choreographer of the 20th century, and became the first ballet theater of Russia that exists separate from the opera company.
