Belarus is in talks with five companies over the sale of Belaruskali, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with Reuters.
The President noted that the talks are underway with companies from India, China, Europe and Arab countries.
According to the President, the talks have been underway since spring. "I think some progress has been made," he added:
“We are willing to privatize the company. Some time ago we evaluated this company and set the price at $30-32 billion. This is one of the leading companies in the world. Back then I was criticized by everyone and labeled in every possible way. Quite recently, a month ago, Bloomberg and some other companies estimated the company at $30 -32 billion. It turns out I was right.
Belarus is not in a hurry to sell Belaruskali. Based on that price, if you want to buy a certain number of shares, please, do it”.
