Every year the number of Belarusian enterprises, which quality management systems have been certified for compliance with the standard STB ISO 9001, rises by about 13%. The data was released by the press service of the State Standardization Committee in view of the European Quality Week. This year the Week is taking place on 5-11 November using the motto Quality is the Key Factor.
        At present there are over 2,600 enterprises in Belarus that have assimilated innovative quality management systems compliant with STB ISO 9001. Those are civil engineering industry, food industry ones, mechanical engineering ones, electrotechnical, chemical and other industries. Providers of services account for more than 40% of the total valid quality management system certificates.
       The systemic approach is used not only for quality management but other aspects of the operation of a corporation. This is why systems to manage safety arrangements and precautions and ecological management systems are the most widespread ones. The fact confirms the responsibility of organizations before their personnel, the society and future generations.
