Sidorsky: No barriers to free movement of goods in Eurasian Economic Union

There are no obstacles to the free movement of goods in the Eurasian Economic Union, member of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Minister) for Industry and Agriculture Sergei Sidorsky said at the plenary meeting "Industrial integration in the Eurasian Economic Union" held as part of the 2015 Belarusian Industrial Forum. "There are some issues, however. For example, three issues remain unsettled in terms of industrial policy. But we will be working to ensure barrier-free delivery," he said.
Sergei Sidorsky noted that at the end of last year, there were some problems with the supply of agricultural products from Belarus. "For the time being such matters are settled at the national level. We made a proposal to vest us, the Eurasian Economic Commission, with supranational powers to solve such problems, especially when it comes to a halt in the movement of goods. For the time being we do not have such powers," he said.
