Opportunities available to foreign investors in Belarus were demonstrated to participants of the international conference on sustainable industrial development in medium-income countries of Europe and Central Asia using the company Stadler Minsk as an example.

Participants of the conference visited Stadler Minsk where they were made familiar with all the stages of train production, including the production of KISS type double-deck electric trains. The company is now busy working on a major order for the Russian mass transit company Aeroexpress.Stadler Minsk’s success was partially attributed to the strong support of municipal authorities in Belarus.

According to Philipp Brunner, Stadler Rail Group’s First Deputy Director, the human resources potential is another essential advantage of working in Belarus. “There are very competent workers here, who have been trained within quite a short time. Now we have quality, speed, and effectiveness,” he said.
