Belarus-Russia union MPs eager to improve healthcare for Chernobyl victims


       Matters concerning preparations for and the actual organization of the event that will take place in 2016 to provide specialized medical aid, including high-tech medical aid to citizens of Belarus and Russia, who have been affected by the catastrophe at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, will be discussed at a session of the Ecology, Nature Management, and Alleviation of Emergencies Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia in Moscow on 10 April, the press service of the Belarus-Russia union parliament reports. Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia intend to enable additional conditions to improve the availability of several kinds of medical aid to people, who have been affected by radiation due to the nuclear power plant meltdown, noted the press service. The measures will contribute to the wise spending of state budget funds on their treatment and to stronger interaction between medical centers and specialists of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
