Belarusbank raises €80m syndicated loan

ASB Belarusbank has signed an agreement to raise a €80 million syndicated loan, the bank said.
The agreement envisages 11 financial institutions of Russia and Latvia as lending banks. Among the main loan arrangers is Russia’s Novikombank, Alfa Bank, Promsvyazbank. Novikombank is also the agent bank in the deal.
The project is the 11th syndicated loan raised by Belarusbank on the international financial market. The current deal involves the participation of five new banks. “This time a considerable interest in the syndicate has been shown from Latvian financial institutions, which made a clear-cut signal for Belarusbank to intensify cooperation with partners in the Baltic region. Besides, despite certain tensions on the Russian financial market, the syndicate has been supported by our partner banks from Russia. All the aforesaid prove the international reputation and image of Belarusbank as a prime-quality borrower. The bank’s open and constructive policy of the bank towards foreign presence allows for successful implementation of large-scale projects in any market situation,” Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergei Pisarik said.
