President: Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park up and running as soon as possible

The project to create the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park should be implemented as soon as possible. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he met with representatives of Chinese business circles. The delegation was led by Chairman of the Board of the Chinese mechanical engineering corporation Sinomach Ren Hongbin.

Alexander Lukashenko said he was thankful to the China government, Sinomach, and CAMCE corporations for assistance with implementing the project. Huawei, one of the leaders in the sphere of high technologies and telecommunications, is the first resident company:

"This company will place an R&D center in the park. Apart from R&D efforts the center will also make ready-made products. The approach in full measure corresponds to our strategic goal of placing state-of-the-art Chinese technologies here. And not only Chinese. I am confident that more companies will soon follow in Huawei’s steps, primarily those, whose top executives are present at the meeting. The park is expected to prioritize the development of such areas as fine chemistry, electronics, biotechnologies, mechanical engineering, and new materials."
