A joint declaration on cooperation between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) was signed in Vienna, BelTA quotes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Austria, Belarus’ Permanent Representative in International Organizations in Vienna Valery Voronetsky. The document was signed by Sergei Sidorsky, member of the Board for Industry and Agribusiness of the Eurasian Economic Union, and UNIDO Director General Li Yong.
The event was attended by permanent representatives of the Eurasian Economic Union member states (Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia) in international organizations in Vienna, as well as Armenia that is going to become a full-fledged member of the Eurasian Economic Union in January 2015.
The joint declaration commits both parties to further deepen cooperation on fostering inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
