Belarus lowers export duties on some oil products

On 1 February 2025 Belarus reduced export duties on certain oil products which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.72 as of 5 February 2025 was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 7 February, BelTA has learned.

In line with the resolution, the size of the export duty on liquefied petroleum gas is now $7.5 per tonne ($18.5 previously). The export duty on ethane, butane and isobutane was set at $6.7 per tonne ($16.6).

Export duties remain zero on crude oil, straight-run gasoline, propylene trimers and tetramers, light and middle distillates, diesel fuel, commercial gasoline, benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricating oils, waste oil products, petroleum jelly and paraffin, petroleum coke and petroleum bitumen.

The document entered into force after its official publication and applies to settlements that were made on and after 1 February.
