Scientists from 9 countries to attend WWI conference in Vileika

        Scientists from nine countries will take part in the conference, First World War in Europe’s Historical Fates, that is due to take place in the Belarusian city of Vileika on 18 October. Speaking at the conference will be representatives of Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, the UK, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, China and Hungary.
    The participants of the event will pay a visit to the WWI Memorial in the village of Zabrodye, Vileika District. The plenary meeting will be followed by work in sections, Combat Operations on the WWI frontline, Civil Population during the First World War. Refugees and their Fates, National Movement during WWI, Diplomacy and International Relations during WWI, the First World War in the People’s Memory.
       Among the organizers of the conference is the Education Ministry of Belarus, the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Belarusian State University, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Vileika District Executive Committee, and the Vileika Local History Museum.
