A considerable decrease in ceasefire violations has been registered in the conflict zone in Ukraine, BelTA quotes Martin Sajdik, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine. He also noted that members of the subgroup on security matters had continued working to reach the goal. They agreed that the joint center for control and coordination plays a key role in enabling a more lasting armistice. Possible separation of troops and assets along the contact line was discussed as well.
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s special representative stated that the sides had continued discussing the release of prisoners of wars, while the subgroup on economic affairs discussed the resumption of payments for water supply.
