Belarus’ industrial sectors is showing clear signs of revival, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said at a meeting of the Council of Ministers that focused on results of Belarus’ social and economic development in Q1 2016.
“The overall decline in industrial production across all industries made up 2.5% in the four months. There is a marked trend towards the restoration of production volumes. We add 1.2-1.8% monthly. This is not only because of the low base effect but also because this sector is really getting out of the wood,” Andrei Kobyakov said. According to him, the production of harvesting machines, sheet glass, wallpaper, fabrics, hosiery, milk and dairy products, televisions, chipboard exceeds that of last year’s. In addition, the tractor production has reached the level of last year’s.
