Lukashenko: No place for national egoism in Internet regulation

     Belarus supports the idea to create a new global mechanism of Internet regulation. The issue was on the agenda of the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao, BelTA reports. “This very important sphere should be monitored by international organizations,” the President said. Alexander Lukashenko noted that a number of large projects have been implemented in this field in recent years. “We are ready to enhance our cooperation with the ITU to develop new communication standards. We are ready to do our best in this field,” Alexander Lukashenko assured.
